On May 10 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., the New Braunfels community is invited to experience the future of small-town living at Mayfest, a festival and home tour hosted by Mayfair. Taking place at the recently opened Fairway Park, located at 137 Ransom Drive, New Braunfels, Mayfest offers the public a first look at everything that makes Mayfair more than just a neighborhood.

Some of the activities at Mayfest include:
  • Live music
  • Beer and wine garden
  • Food trucks
  • Shopping booths
  • Inflatables
  • Home tours
  • Art walk

At Mayfest, attendees can tour fully furnished model homes and explore new housing options coming soon. All builders will be on-site during the event, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about floorplans and features, and explore both available and future homesites.

“Mayfest is the perfect way to see what Mayfair is all about,” said Kristi Robinson, Vice President of Marketing and Community Relations. “It’s not just about homes; it’s about creating connections, enjoying good company and getting a feel for the lifestyle we’re building here.”

Mayfest is a free, public event. To RSVP, click here.

Currently underway on the east side of I-35, Phase I of Mayfair will eventually span 1,900 acres, and include over 5,000 living spaces and over 2 million square feet of commercial development.

A hallmark of Mayfair is its diverse range of housing options, made possible by a team of nine respected builders, with more coming soon.

In 2023, the first four builders, Coventry Homes, Highland Homes, Perry Homes and Toll Brothers, began construction on homes starting in the $400,000s, offering 50-and-60-foot lots. This month, David Weekley Homes and Scott Felder Homes broke ground on homes with 35-to-50-foot lots, starting in the $300,000s and expected to open this summer. More homes, townhomes and cottages are starting construction this year by Wes Peoples. Plus, The Village at Mayfair, with its bungalow-style rental homes, is also under construction with this gated area slated to open in early 2026.

Some of the home types at Mayfair include:
  • Single-family homes
  • Townhomes
  • Cottages
  • Bungalow-style rental homes
"With such a wide variety of housing options, we’re confident Mayfair will appeal to a broad range of people," Robinson said. "Our builders have worked together to create homes that meet the needs of a variety of lifestyles, ensuring that each resident finds the perfect place to call home."

Amenities

At the heart of Mayfair is a commitment to green space, outdoor activity and community connection. The development includes 300 acres of public parks, miles of planned trails and incredible recreation spaces.

Fairway Park, an 18-acre destination with walking paths, disc golf and a bike pump track, opened March 22 and is already a hit. In summer 2026, Midtown Mayfair will welcome even more excitement in the heart of Mayfair with phase 1 of its 8-acre mixed-use area.

  • Midtown Swim Club

Mayfair residents also enjoy access to a community mobile app, giving them easy access to announcements, events, homeowners association services and more.

Education and everyday convenience

Mayfair is designed with families in mind. Mayfair Elementary is scheduled to open this fall, followed by a middle school in fall 2027, both part of the Comal ISD.

Commercial development is rapidly taking shape as well, with retail, restaurants and service businesses planned throughout the community, including a Costco.
