There's a new mayor in town.
According to unofficial voting results from Comal, Guadalupe and Bexar counties, Ralph Rodriguez garnered 50.95% of votes, or 2,839 votes. Gutierrez received 49.05% of votes, or 2,733 votes.
All results are unofficial until canvassed.

Guadalupe County has released early voting totals for the Schertz mayoral race.
What you need to know
There are two candidates running for Schertz mayor: incumbent Ralph Gutierrez and Ralph Rodriguez.
According to unofficial early voting results from Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe counties, Gutierrez leads with 1,876 votes, or 50.70% of the vote. Rodriguez trails behind Gutierrez with 1,824, or 49.30% of the vote.
What else?
Totals from ballots cast Nov. 4 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.
Gutierrez was reelected for a second term in 2023 after winning a run-off election against Cedric B. Edwards Sr., according to previous reporting by Community Impact. Gutierrez has served as the Schertz mayor since 2019.

Gutierrez said he felt nervous about the election.
"I'm excited because it's the last day ... nervous [because] you never know," Gutierrez told Community Impact.
Rodriguez said he felt good about the election.
"Last week I was out here from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and throughout that whole process people coming in and voting ... I feel really good," Rodriguez told Community Impact. "If it's God's will, it's God's way and so either way I feel very humble and very honored to be able to represent the citizens of the city of Schertz."
