A college preparation service is now available for students and families in New Braunfels.

Obtain It College Advising—locally owned by Leslie Uptain—began serving the New Braunfels area in late July. The college preparation service offers scholarship consultations and financial aid consultations to help families plan for their students’ futures.

Uptain said she has nearly 20 years in education, having worked for Texas A&M University and Comal ISD.

“My last five years were specifically working with students in College & Career Planning in Comal,” Uptain said in an email to Community Impact. “All my experiences have led to me having a detailed understanding of career paths and how higher education works and I’m ready to help families give their students their best foot forward by intentionally planning their futures.”
