Gringo's Mexican Kitchen to open Cibolo location

Houston-based restaurant chain, Gringo's Mexican Kitchen, is opening within the Cibolo Crossing development, next to Willie's Grill & Ice House in late 2026, restaurant officials said in an email to Community Impact.

What’s on the menu

Gringo’s serves traditional Tex-Mex enchiladas, tacos, bowls, fajitas and more. The restaurant also has a full cocktail menu.

Since 1945, the New Braunfels Smokehouse has been a part of the New Braunfels community.

Urban vibe comes to Stone Oak: New mixed-used development to foster Stone Oak community hub

Though Stone Oak is known as a prime shopping and dining destination in North San Antonio, the neighborhood lacked mixed-use developments that cultivate live-work-play environments, Craig Browning, a realtor with Phyllis Browning Co., said.

The big picture

District 9 council member Misty Spears said that since its inception, Stone Oak has cultivated a high quality of life for its residents.

However, future growth needs to include spaces for small businesses and new job opportunities, Spears said. To fill this need, a new mixed-use development along Canyon Golf Road is in the works.

Debra Morris, owner of Providence by the Green, said her upcoming development is designed to offer local residents an urban destination.
