A pet boarding service is celebrating its silver jubilee—or 25th anniversary—in the Boerne area in August.

The history

Hill Country Pet Ranch, located at 518 Hwy. 46, first opened in 2000, according to longtime Manager Lisa Jordan.

Jordan, who has been working at the ranch for 22 years, said that she has seen a lot change over the decades.

“There’s been lots of growth, lots of changes,” she said.

They're celebrating the occasion on Aug. 9 at 11 a.m. with food trucks and activities for dogs to enjoy.

The ranch offers a wide range of pet services for both dogs and cats, Jordan said.

These include short and long-term boarding, grooming and training services, according to their website.

It sits on 12 acres of land, providing ample space for play and stimulation, Jordan said.

“It’s got more of a country setting,” Jordan said. “We go for nature walks and we have a big pool where dogs are able to go dock diving.”

In the future, Jordan said that the business is planning to add more kennels for dogs to use.
