Election Day is Nov. 4, and voters in The Woodlands area will have different options for locations to vote based on their county of residence.

Two-minute impact

Voters must vote in the county where they’re registered. In Montgomery County, voters must vote at their designated polling place on Election Day. Visit https://elections.mctx.org to see a full list of polling locations and determine which is your local voting precinct. These locations may differ from locations that served as early voting polling locations.

In Harris County, voters can cast their votes at any Harris County polling place on Election Day. For a list of polling locations, visit www.harrisvotes.com.

When going to vote, voters must bring one of the following, according to the Texas Secretary of State’s office:
  • Texas driver's license
  • Texas election identification certificate
  • Texas personal identification card
  • Texas handgun license
  • U.S. military identification card with a photo
  • U.S. citizenship certificate with a photo
  • U.S. passport
What’s on the ballot?

This is not a comprehensive list and does not include all possible Nov. 4 races or any uncontested races.

The four candidates for Position 6 on The Woodlands Township board of directors are:
  • Adam Lamb
  • Allan Bounds
  • Philip Ikharebhore
  • Maria Holmes
Position 6 is the only contested race in the Nov. 4 election.

Positions 5 and 7, which also have terms ending this year, are currently occupied by incumbents Shelley Sekula-Gibbs and Cindy Heiser, respectively, who are seeking reelection and are unopposed on the ballot.

The Woodlands board of directors race will not be on the ballot for voters outside of The Woodlands Township.

There are also 17 proposed state constitutional amendments that will appear on voters’ ballots, as previously reported by Community Impact. The amendments center around issues such as reducing property taxes and funding water supply projects.
