The gist
For Friendswood High School, Melissa Sauceda, who is most recently a career technical education teacher for the engineering program at FHS, will be stepping up to be an assistant principal at FHS.
Sauceda has nearly 20 years of education experience and is in the final stages of earning her master’s degree in educational administration at Lamar University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in English.
For Bales Intermediate, Jessica Tilimon, who was most recently an assistant principal at Barbara Cockrell Elementary at Pearland ISD, will be joining Bales Intermediate as its newest assistant principal.
Tilimon has 15 years of educational experience and has a master’s degree in school counseling and a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies.
For Westwood Elementary, Christina Hogue, who was most recently a literacy coach at Bales Intermediate, will be taking on the role of assistant principal at Westwood Elementary.
Hogue has nearly 15 years of educational experience, including nine years with FISD, and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Lauren Traina, who was most recently an English teacher at Friendswood Junior High, will now serve as the district’s executive director of communications.
Traina holds a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and has over 10 years of experience in education, according to district documents.
