Located off Hwy. 288, Preservation Creek will feature single-family homes, according to a May 23 news release.
New homes are expected to be ready by early 2026, with 5103 lots available. The development includes more than 1,100 acres of protected waterways, parks and trails, according to the development’s website.
The Austin Bayou District has allotted more than 14,000 acres for the development of new commercial and residential properties, officials said. Preservation Creek is the first part of developing that land.

W Land Development, a Houston-based company, has developed more than 3,000 lots across 15 communities in League City, Pearland, Conroe and Katy, according to its website. Building partners for Preservation Creek include Smith Douglas Homes, K. Hovnanian, Imagination Homes, New Home Co., Kendall Homes and Brightland Homes, according to a news release.
