According to a May 30 email from Scott Powers, NCISD’s executive director of public relations, the latest updates on NCISD bond projects include:
West Fork High School Phases 2 and 3
Phase 2 will consist of a 180,000-foot expansion of the campus. More classrooms and learning spaces will be added, raising student capacity to about 2,250. Phase 3 will include a covered multipurpose practice facility.
- Completion date: This summer (Phase 2); (August 2026 (Phase 3)
- Cost: $76 million (Phase 2); $6.4 million (Phase 3)
Workspaces for instructional services; human resources; student services;
communications; finance; and training and professional
Development will be included in the new 135,000-square-foot administration building. Documents for the design and construction of the facility are complete.
- Construction timeline: July 2025-December 2026
- Cost: $56 million
More Bus and employee parking as well as office spaces will be added to the current transportation center. A 25,000-square-foot maintenance and operations building will also be built at the location. The facility will have offices, workshops, warehouse space, and meeting rooms.
Design on these projects is ongoing.

- Cost: $12 (transportation center); $28 million (operations facility)
Features will be added and remodeled for the high school’s fine arts and career and technical education programs. Athletics updates will include a new covered multipurpose practice area and revamped baseball, softball and football/soccer fields.
All of these projects are in the early design stages. Architecture firm Arcadis was selected for the project by NCISD’s board of trustees on May 19.

- Cost: $12.5 million (fine arts and CTE); $16 million (athletics facilities)
NCISD’s 13th elementary school will soon enter the design stage after architecture firm Arcadis was selected for the project by NCISD’s board of trustees on May 19. The 110,000-square-foot campus will have capacity for 1,000 students, according to NCISD’s website.
A location has not yet been selected for the campus.
