I-45 will be totally closed going northbound from Franklin St. to Hogan/Crockett St. this weekend. Starting 9 p.m. Friday, July 30, until 5 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 1, traffic there will be diverted onto I-10.

According to Emily Black, Texas Department of Transportation public information officer, the closure is to allow for bridge maintenance, in response to a state-mandated inspection that found issues with the electrical conduit and illumination light.
