According to a July 16 news release, Clark is coming to the district after having served as Spring ISD’s director of performing and visual arts since 2013
“I am honored to join Humble ISD and excited to serve its students, teachers and community through the arts,” Clark said in the news release. “Humble ISD has a strong tradition of excellence in fine arts, and I look forward to building on that foundation.”
A closer look
According to the news release, Clark will be charged with leading the district’s arts programs, where he will oversee curriculum, instruction, staff development, program operations and community partnerships.
Clark is bringing more than 25 years of experience to the position. While working at SISD, Clark served as president of the Texas Fine Arts Administrators and was recognized by the organization as Outstanding Fine Arts Administrator of the Year in 2023, according to the news release.

Clark is set to officially begin his HISD tenure Aug. 6.
