What this means
Conroe City Council passed a resolution stating the city has more than 100,000 residents, and in doing so, the city expanded its ETJ.
“In 2008, we had 13,000 water connections, and now in 2025 we have ... 51,000 [connections]” Deputy City Administrator Nancy Mikeska said during the May 7 workshop meeting.
According to the resolution, the population of the city in January 2023 was estimated at 108,242 persons by Neilsberg Research Foundation, and in January 2025, the estimate was 119,576 persons by the 2025 World Population Review.
