In less than one month, Montgomery ISD schools will welcome students for the 2025-26 school year. Keep reading for need-to-know information ahead of the first day of school Aug. 14.

What’s new

Montgomery ISD’s new Career and Technical Education and Agricultural Science Center, also named The DEN, will be open for the 2025-26 school year.

The $82.92 million spaces measure a combined 189,000 square feet and feature a bistro operated by culinary students, a cosmetology studio, an automatic tech shop, an engineering and robotics lab and an animal show arena. MISD held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for The DEN on July 30.

First steps


Online enrollment for new MISD students and registration for returning students is open. New student enrollment can be found here. Returning students can register here.

According to MISD’s website, required documents for student registration include:
  • Child’s certified birth certificate
  • Current immunization records
  • Social security card
  • Parent or guardian photo ID
  • Two proofs of residency in the district
