Mathnasium of Conroe opened on West Davis Street on July 1, owner Afi Momin and center director Aleen Ali confirmed.

Two-minute impact

The center offers in-person and online math tutoring for K-12 students. Momin and Ali said it specializes in identifying learning gaps and providing personalized instruction that helps students understand and enjoy math.

“Conroe ISD serves over 70,000 students and is known for academic excellence. Still, like many districts across the country, students have faced challenges in math achievement in recent years,” Momin and Ali said in an email to Community Impact.

The owner and center director, who have over 10 years of experience in the Mathnasium franchise system and the tutoring industry, said they chose Conroe not just because of the demand, but because of the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Looking forward

Momin and Ali said their next location is already underway and set to open by the end of the year at I-45 and Louetta.

“Our mission is to expand access to world-class math education throughout North Houston,” Momin and Ali said via email.

Quote of note

“Conroe is one of the fastest-growing cities in Texas, with a rapidly expanding population of families and school-aged children. We saw a clear and growing need for supplemental math education in the community—especially as parents increasingly prioritize academic support to help their children stay on track and build confidence in math,” Momin and Ali said via email.
