Zooming in
According to the release, the new imaging center's upgraded equipment includes:
- Advanced computed tomography, or CT, technology—this includes one-beat cardiac scanning that can capture a complete image of the heart within a single heartbeat, enabling accurate imaging even in individuals with irregular heart rhythms or high heart rates.
- New magnetic resonance imaging, or MRI, technology—which have a wide-bore design that offers more room inside the scanner, as well as feet-first scanning options to further patient comfort and reduce anxiety.
- Advanced X-ray technology—featuring advanced applications for bone and spine imaging ideal for scoliosis exams.
- Ultrasound technology—including shear wave elastography for a non-invasive assessment of conditions, such as liver fibrosis.
- C-arm imaging—a mobile fluoroscopic X-ray system
- Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry, or DEXA, bone scans
