Calder Road and Butler Road near the southbound frontage road of I-45 are undergoing construction and will be subject to road closures for several weeks.

The details

The construction work is part of a $2 million traffic improvement project that will create a dedicated eastbound right turn lane from 450 feet west of Butler Road to 300 feet west of the I-45 southbound frontage road, according to a news flash from the city.

What you need to know

There will be intermittent lane closures over the next several weeks as crews work to remove the existing sidewalks in the area, according to the news flash.

In mid-to-late August, construction will require the closure of one eastbound lane on League City Parkway between Calder Road and Butler Road for several months.

The project is expected to be completed by October, according to the city’s website.
