1. Virginia and Throckmorton infrastructure improvements
Project description: The project will reconstruct Virginia Street between SH 5 and Murray Street, and Throckmorton Street between Lamar Street and Louisiana Street. The project includes water line, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, illumination, hardscape and landscape improvements as well as a roundabout at the intersection of Virginia and Throckmorton streets.
Update: Virginia is currently closed with traffic detoured along Louisiana. Street paving is underway along Throckmorton, and along Virginia between Main Street and Murray. Throckmorton is expected to be open to traffic by the end of April. Virginia will remain closed between SH 5 and Main, and it is expected to be completed by the end of summer 2025.

Project description: Renewal of substandard infrastructure including streets, drainage, and utilities will take place for the following segments:
- Lela Street between Waddill and College streets
- Jones Street between College and Board streets
- Foote Street between College and Board streets
- Bradley Street between Bonner and Hall streets
- Florence Street between Tucker and Hall streets
- Timeline: February 2025–summer 2026
- Cost: $7.5 million
- Funding source: city of McKinney
Project description: Reconstruction and widening of Medical Center Drive will take place between Frisco Road and Spur 399 as a four-lane divided roadway. Medical Center Drive is currently an undivided three-lane roadway.
Update: Design is nearing completion and construction is expected to begin in summer 2025.
