A closed restaurant in Southlake is being renovated to prepare for a new Taiwanese eatery.

What's happening?

A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows Kitchen Master is doing a $250,000 renovation at the former Mughlai Fine Indian Restaurant location, which is near the Grapevine-Southlake border.

Kitchen Master serves a mix of stir fry; traditional Taiwanese soup dumplings called xiao long bao; and noodles, its Facebook page states.

According to the TDLR filing, the estimated completion date for the work is Nov. 28, with the scope of the work including renovations for flooring, bathrooms, a sushi bar, the cook area, siding, trim and windows.
