Grapevine is the hub for the University of Miami football team and marching band.

The Hurricanes football team is playing in the 90th Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic on Dec. 31 against Ohio State at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

In preparation for the game, the Miami marching band, The Frost Band of the Hour, will be practicing at Mustang-Panther Stadium in Grapevine.

The details

The city of Grapevine and Grapevine-Colleyville ISD have announced an open practice for the public to watch the band in action, free of charge. According to a GCISD social media post, practice will be from 10 a.m.-1 p.m on Dec. 30.

In addition to the band practice, the Miami football team participated in a media event on Dec. 28 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, the host hotel for the Hurricanes.
