The Southlake Women's Club Foundation hosted its 25th Annual Art in the Square, April 25-27, at Rustin & Family Park in Southlake.
Art in the Square showcases work in a variety of mediums by artists from across the country, including eight featured artists from six states.
There was a Youth Art Exhibit located on Main Street, where State Rep. Giovanni Capriglione sponsored the Lone Star Artist Scholarship, according to a sign in the tent.
The setup
Funds raised from the event will be donated by Southlake Women’s Club to other nonprofits in northeast Tarrant County, according to its website. Last year, 26 organizations were beneficiaries, including GRACE, Christ’s Haven for Children, Serving Our Seniors and Tarrant County Association for the Blind, to name a few.
Money raised in 2025 will be distributed to the foundation's beneficiaries by the end of this year, according to the nonprofit's website.
The background
Founded in 1985, Southlake Women’s Club hosted a spaghetti dinner as a fundraiser in 1987. After 1999, the event turned into Art in the Square.
Lots of cool art work today in Southlake. @ArtInTheSquare does a great job of getting artist. I’ve talked to some from Colorado, Wisconsin and Massachusetts pic.twitter.com/bUJmPsZ7mV
