The overall budget for the design and construction of the project is $16 million. The design contract is being awarded to PBK Architects. Frisco City Council unanimously approved the contract as part of its consent agenda May 20. The city considered 13 firms for the design services.
The background
In 2019, Frisco voters approved bond proposition E, which contained language allowing funds to be used to construct a nature and educational center to support the Parks and Recreation Department.
The administration building and nature center will include space for educational programs and a small collection of animals.
