Road construction at FM 407 and FM 2499 is underway at a point where the town of Flower Mound and city of Highland Village meet.

Crews are working on intersection improvements at FM 407 and FM 2499, which includes a reconfiguration of travel lanes to improve operational efficiency, according to Texas Department of Transportation officials.

What you need to know

According to the town of Flower Mound’s project map, intersection improvements include:
  • providing three through lanes, dual left turn lanes and a dedicated right turn lane for northbound and southbound traffic.

During construction, lane closures are planned, TxDOT Public Information Officer Tila Grant said in an email. Drivers in the area are advised to seek an alternate route.
