1. Georgie’s now open in downtown Georgetown
Georgie’s, a seafood restaurant with a full bar, opened in early May near the Georgetown square.
The restaurant took over the former Barrels & Amps location, which closed in December, according to previous Community Impact reporting.

2. 900-unit housing development, annexation of over 230 acres under consideration in Round Rock
Several measures that would create a 900-unit municipal utility district in northeast Round Rock were considered by city council on June 12.
The agreements would provide standard services to two tracts of land—2.67 acres and 230.08 acres—located south of Westinghouse Road and west of CR 110 in Round Rock, as well as absorb these properties into the city limits and create Round Rock Municipal Utility District No. 3.

3. Kura Revolving Sushi Bar coming to Pflugerville
A new Kura Revolving Sushi Bar will open in Pflugerville, Newton Hoang, vice president at Kura Sushi, announced on LinkedIn.
Kura offers classic sushi dishes, as well as soups, noodles and deserts, served on a conveyer belt. The restaurant will finish its $1.4 million build-out in February 2026, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

4. Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings closes Round Rock location
The Round Rock location of Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings closed in Round Rock in early June.
A note posted to the door stated that the location closed for the last time at 5 p.m. on June 8.

5. The Pearl Townhomes coming soon to Bee Cave
Developers of The Pearl are taking steps forward on a new townhome community in Bee Cave.
The final proposed layout for the community was approved following a vote by City Council June 10.
