If the VATRE is successful, it will result in a tax rate of $1.2746 per $100 of taxable assessed valuation of property within Hays CISD for the current tax year, which would result in $26.24 million of additional maintenance and operations tax revenue—a 15.39% increase.
Dates to know

- Oct. 20: First day of early voting
- Oct. 23: Last day to apply for a ballot by mail—with the application received in office—not postmarked
- Oct. 31: Last day of early voting in person

Hays County participates in the Countywide Polling Place Program, which allows voters to use any polling location within their county rather than having to stay within their precinct.
