The details
Owned by Mary-Kate Enriquez, That’s So Grandma opened in May and sells vintage clothing, accessories and shoes. The business began as a pop-up at local markets in 2022.
Enriquez is from a small town in Iowa and said growing up, her grandma would take her thrift shopping since it was all there was to do.
“I’ve always been into it, I just never thought I would be able to make something out of it,” Enriquez said.
What they offer
Enriquez said many of the pieces sold at That’s So Grandma are sourced from Iowa since she travels home often, which ensures the shop has a unique selection. She added that items are affordable, size- and gender-inclusive.
The inventory is inspired by her personal style, which she said has been described as "grandma-esque."
In her own words
"I've never dressed my age, and I've just always kind of been out there with pieces that I wear," Enriquez said. "So a lot of friends of mine and people that know me would often say ... 'that's just so grandma' ... and so that kind of stuck. And then my grandma is such a big part of everything that I do."
That’s So Grandma’s weekly hours are posted on Facebook and Instagram.
