The gist
The city is working on a project to improve mobility on Limmer Loop by adding capacity, enhancing intersections and adding raised medians. The proposed design includes expanding the existing two-lane section, from Innovation Boulevard to Ed Schmidt Boulevard, to a major arterial six-lane section.
As part of the design process, the city is seeking community feedback to ensure the project reflects the priorities of those who live and travel in the area. To learn more about the project and provide feedback, visit here.
Schematic design on the project began in January and the design is expected to be approved by sometime this fall. The city will then begin right-of-way acquisition this winter. A timeline for phased construction has not yet been determined and is pending future funding.
