A project to prolong the quality of neighborhood streets in Hutto will begin May 30, causing road closures until the work concludes June 17.

What residents need to know

Each street will close for approximately two days for maintenance, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. each day.

The project will impact streets in the following neighborhoods:
  • Enclave at Brushy Creek Estates
  • Brushy Creek Meadows
  • Glenwood
  • Emory Farms
  • Country Estates II
Residents will receive a notification at their home three days before the street closure.

During the maintenance, residents must not:
  • Park within 50 feet of any street undergoing work. Cars interfering will be towed at the owner's expense.
  • Drive on a closed road, with the exception of emergency vehicles
  • Use outdoor water 24 hours before, during and 24 hours after the road closure
Damage incurred because of violating the above directions will have a repair cost at a minimum of $750. Residents should also put any trash out the night before their collection day, and reschedule deliveries from UPS and FEDEX.

About the project

The pavement preservation project will help extend the life of asphalt streets. Contractor Holbrook Asphalt will apply a high density mineral bond, which will smooths roads and delays the need for a complete street replacement.
