Operation Liberty Hill, a nonprofit that provides food, programs and services in Liberty Hill, hopes to break ground on a new building by the end of the year.

The organization, which now has a food pantry, thrift store and assistance programs, was started in 2012 and needs more space to keep up with the local need.

Currently operating at 1401 N. Hwy. 183 in Leander, Operation Liberty Hill’s new building will be built at 3737 RM 1869. The new site, which is in Liberty Hill, comprises two acres that were donated to the organization.

Construction on the 12,400 square foot, $2.4 million project is expected to last two years. People can donate to the organization on its website.
