Ahead of the Summer Olympics, Austin families will have a chance to show off their skills in an Olympic-style field day at Texas Sports Academy in May.

The details

The free event held at the school’s Hudson Bend campus will be open to ages 5 and up, allowing participants to work together in relay races, team competitions and skill-based events, according to a news release.

Activities for the event were designed by Texas Sports Academy students, and the Olympic host will be Jamal Gross, the head of school and former Phoenix Suns assistant coach.

The family-friendly event will include prizes, special attractions and an Olympic village for spectators, per the news release.
