Round Rock ISD gave initial approvals for architects who will design renovations and expansions at four schools in April.

In an April 17 board meeting, district trustees approved the selection for architects to design renovations at McNeil and Stony Point High Schools, C.D. Fulkes Middle School and Berkman Elementary School.

Several campuses will receive expansions to address needs of student populations after district voters passed $998 million in bonds in the November election.

Trustees approved the use of 2024 bond monies for the following:

Berkman Elementary School
  • Architect: Stantech Architecture
  • Scope of work: interior renovation, campus expansion and playground replacement
  • Cost of design: $651,426
C.D. Fulkes Middle School
  • Architect: Stantech Architecture
  • Scope of work: auditorium renovation
  • Cost of design: $541,288
McNeil High School
  • Architect: Perkins & Will Architecture
  • Scope of work: interior renovation and campus expansion
  • Cost of design: $4.37 million
Stony Point High School
  • Architect: VLK Architects
  • Scope of work: interior renovation and campus expansion
  • Cost of design: $4.94 million

When RRISD voters approved $932 million in bond-funded projects, renovations to several schools in the district were included in the $798.3 million Proposition A.
