A May 13 update from Lee Raspberry, BISD's director of construction and planning, shows the totally new Adelton Elementary School, and restructured Creekside Middle School and Riverside Middle School are on track to open for the 2025-26 school year in August.
As a new campus, Raspberry said the district expects to receive its certificate of occupancy for Adelton in June.
Renovations of the interiors of Creekside and Riverside are expected to be complete before the start of the school year, with exterior additions to be completed this winter.
What's next?
Creekside and Riverside will be attended by sixth graders this fall, with eighth graders attending Bastrop Middle School and Cedar Creek Middle School, as preciously reported by Community Impact.
The district determined new attendance boundaries for the Adelton, Creekside and Riverside campuses earlier this year.
Seventh graders will attend campuses based on the new attendance boundaries.

These three campuses were part of bond initiatives passed in 2021 and 2023 to address local growth in the student population, and make critical system upgrades and replacements. These were the first bond initiatives to be passed by voters in BISD since 2007, as previously reported by Community Impact.
